Here is a summary for application to
CI&BCI Center, FEIT, UTS. You are welcome here and hope this can leverage
your application process.
First is the English proficiency
requirement for non-native English speakers, it's the most concerned for all
applicants. In my opinion, IELTS is recommended. The requirement is 6.0 on average however 6.0 for writing component. I also personally recommend one way
for learning English, it's called shadowing, meaning well-prepared repeating
after native speakers(according to Ms.吳思葦). This way is used to train interpreters, you can try.
The second is for scholarship, nevertheless,
Sydney is a high cost place, and one must need some support for surviving.
Usually, you just mention you need scholarship in your application, and the
faculty, FEIT will initiate the application to waiving the fee. So talk with
your supervisor or second supervisor about it directly after you have all the material for application
prepared. In my opinion, the best point is before you get the conditional offer,
if you are sure of it. If you launch it after the conditional offer, and obtain
confirmation from adviser, (I would think it's applicable for all FEIT
candidates), just write back to tell UTS international you are opt for
scholarship and meantime carbon copy it to FEIT: feit.research@uts.edu.au.

Now I understand it depends on
the kind of the scholarship you will get. If your scholarship is form project grant,
please directly talk to Professor Lin and he will help
Third, about the application material, I
think it's of no exception, the general materials required for applying for any
school is applied here, namely, CV, research proposal, transcript, English
proficiency certificate, statement of completion, etc. By the way, Statement of
Completion in some countries may refer to the graduation certificate and degree
certificate. If the school can issue the documentations both in original
language and English, there's no extra effort to obtain certified version from
some notary organizations. By the way, don't forget to post the paper version
to GRS office after you submit them online.
It's suggested the application is submitted
before the deadline proposed by the Graduate Research School, however extra
evidence material could be gradually added. But it's better to have all of them
once in a while unless there's some special reason. It's not difficult to find
the online application website. Check the links below:
BTW, if you are interested in CI&BCI
center, please choose the course number C02029
I would think the international office of
UTS will process the application via following stages (just my guess, without
their confirmation) MI -> Ack -> CO -> FO –> CoE. Since emails tend
to flood them, please be patient. I would personally think everyone there
couldn't be nicer, so don't worry if you are sure you could contribute to UTS
once enrolled, they won't let you pass away.
